You have a target; something to aim for.
Dreams. Everyone have one. Maybe two. They all want it to come true; who don't?
Sometimes you hit the bullseye, sometimes you don't.
People all try to achieve what they aim for, but things won't always work out, don't they?
When you hit the bullseye, you are elated and the next moment you're not.
Winning, achievement makes you happy. Yet when the ecstasy wears off, you hit back on Earth hard. Time to strive for more.
Most of the time you don't hit the bullseye, and you feel disappointed, sometimes heartbroken.
Many a times we are served with failure in our face, and it takes a great deal of courage to stand back up, and a whole lot of resilience to continue fighting.
Its about doing sufficient preparation work,
Prepare for school, prepare for competition, prepare for work; you got prepare for all the unpredictable things life throw at you.
about having the right mindset,
You know you want it a lot, but you must control and work hard to achieve it. You must be not be pessimistic, but not too optimistic. You must keep your cool. You must be patient and determined. You must not give up. You must strike the balance.
and practising, honing your abilities.
Thinking about success doesn't guarantee you any. You must train your skills and be well-versed with it to face any challenge before you.
You think its about yourself: its about being one with your gun too.
At some point of time surely, we might think that "its me, only me and nothing else, that matters."
Shooting maybe be a individual sport, but it your teammates who you can rely on, for friendship, for joy, and most importantly for support.
Leave no one behind, like how you don't want to be left out.
Its you who decide to pull the trigger, and when u actually does it.
Life is all about choices, about risk, about timing. You won't get everything right, but you have to right everything you did wrong. At the end of the day you will learn something new.
You shoot badly, and coach scold you, but your thankful for those wisdom.
You fail. You feel crestfallen. People blame you. Parents nags at you. The feeling is caustic but when you hang on through it all and learn the lesson behind each painful experience, you will improve and grow better, stronger.
Shooting is a long process; sometimes you ask why are you shooting, but after a while you just can't stop.
Nonsense encroach into your life, you question what is the purpose of it all. You get emotional. Yet when you realise the worth, the value behind life, you won't ever give it up.
And at the end of the day its not about shooting 10.9,
its about being the 10.9: the best you can be.
